Privacy Policy

This policy covers all Chiller Whale Games games (CoinSort, Beachdoku, Tidepool, LanternGlow, Spice Rack and Cookie Sort), both the iPhone apps and the versions you play in a web browser, and this website.

The short version: we don't ask who you are, there are no accounts, no ads and no advertising or tracking tools. The only thing a game sends us is optional, anonymous information about how levels went, and you can turn it off in Settings.

What stays on your device

Your progress, settings and statistics are saved on your own device (in the app, or in your browser's local storage). They are not sent to us. Deleting the app or clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Anonymous play data

To tune difficulty, each game can send a small record when you finish or leave a level or wave. A record contains:

a random ID created on your device (it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or any other account);
which level or wave it was, and game details such as difficulty mode, time played, number of moves, mistakes, hints or undos used, and whether you finished;
the game version and when it was played.

We do not store your IP address, location, device identifiers, contacts or anything else about you with these records. The data is used only to improve the games, is never sold or shared for advertising, and is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare.

Turning it off: open the game's Settings and switch off the play-data option. Nothing further is sent after that.

Services we rely on

Cloudflare hosts the games, this website and the anonymous play data. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as IP addresses in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Google Fonts: the browser version of Cookie Sort currently loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when the fonts load. See Google's privacy policy.
Apple: if you download an app from the App Store, Apple handles the download and may share anonymous usage and crash statistics with developers if you've allowed that in your device settings. See Apple's privacy policy.

Children

The games are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Email

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
